Description
Slips, trips and falls are one of the most common causes of occupational injury and account for over one-third of all major injuries reported each year. Slips, trips and falls can affect anyone, and can occur in any part of any workplace, they are sometimes seen as a joke, but they are no laughing matter. Our Acornstar Slips, Trips and Falls course provides learners with the skills and knowledge to manage their own health and safety, and the safety of others.

On completing this course, learners should be able to:
Understand why slips, trips & falls are a serious safety problem
Outline the difference between a slip, trip and a fall
Identify slip, trip & fall hazards on the job
Outline safety controls prevent slips, trips and fall injuries
Avoid or eliminate slips, trips and fall hazards
Prevent falls from height and minimise injury if a fall occurs.
